Guys, this is the #BadPlace
I know what you're saying. Only a monster would start a war and kill thousands to try and pump polling numbers and direct attention away from the Epstein files.
Yes, now you're getting it.
the highest court of the US says that a twice-impeached, felon despot is immune to prosecution
hahahaha this is the bad place
we're so goddamned fucked
Welsh Pixie, Rage.love brigading explained:
Now, as explained in this toot: https://ubiqueros.com/notes/9jj68wrcjm
The methodology of being listed in the bad space is being on two blocklists. Therefore two trusted servers working in conjunction can guarantee a server ending up in the bad space.
Example case, tooters.org
The reason for their bad space listing is “brigading” and their addition to the list coincided with the admin standing up against the hit job on Nina (if you don’t know, it should really be everywhere by now - I’m not tagging people)
The first two servers to blocklist tooters were rage.love and .art - this was after a fabricated outrage with shoddy receipts.
Strange Object came along to block later but doesn’t list why. Following the leaders, I suppose.
Rage.love is connected to .art via a mod in both places and both mods regularly boost and fave each others angsty screeds against their victim of the day.
So, I’m short, the system can and will be easily rigged.
But again, while servers end up in the bad space due to malicious reasons, Ro is left holding the bag.
This redirection and subversion is horrendously evil and damaging to many communities on fedi - see all the drama that has resulted because of this.
Whew, ok, I finally had a chance to sit and code, so here is fresh [upate](https://tweaking.thebad.space) to the tweaking version of #TheBadSpace So, there was a minor bug in location filtering displaying sites that had been tagged for silence for reasons outside of the scope of the bad space, which are centers of harm and hate. I will use Girlcock as an example because, haha, I just like the name Girlcock. A member of trusted sources (who has since requested to remove their blocklist from trusted sources) had silenced Girlcock because they did not like their content, which is fine. Individual instance owners can do whatever they want. However, the bad space should not list results based on personal content preferences because it aims to identify sources of harm. The threshold for showing sites is two, meaning at least two members of trusted sources have to agree on a site for it to be listed in the results. An entry in the database must be seconded for it to be active. Girlcock, while it may have content people might find objectionable, is not a source of harm, so it will not be returned as a legitimate result, especially since it has only been tagged once. Several entries like this are in the bad space db, so the latest patch fixes all those occurrences. So now, when you search for a site like Girlcock, there will be no results because they need to meet the listing criteria.
In a #BadPlace; there are quite a few to choose from, #MisterDen...?
