War has been raging in Eastern Europe for four years. This has changed the geopolitical situation of many European countries.
From the outset, Poland has played a significant role in supporting Ukraine, both economically and politically, but above all militarily.
Poland, like Romania, has taken on a far more important function as a logistical hub for the supply of war materials and provisions.
Due to its history, Poland has perceived Russia as a threat since well before the start of the war and, as a consequence, has massively strengthened its armament and militarisation programme. Poland is also held up as a role model in the armament debate in this country.
At our event, we want to explore the question of whether Poland will become an important geopolitical player in the region and Europe in the coming years and what the consequences of this might be.
