We want to look at historical and current women's strikes, discuss different forms of strike and their potential, and think together about how things could continue after 9 March.

Was ist eigentlich ein Frauenstreik?
Wir wollen uns historische und aktuelle Frauenstreiks anschauen, verschiedene Streikformen und ihre Potenziale besprechen und gemeinsam überlegen, wie es nach dem 9. März weitergehen könnte.
Wir laden euch herzlich ein, ab 19 Uhr ins SZ Aenne Saefkow zu kommen.
Davor sehen wir uns bei den verschiedenen Streikaktionen auf der Straße!

Oppression is something that connects us worldwide. Experiences that we share collectively.
Oppression is systematic. Not only here, but everywhere in the world. From restricted education, self-determination and forced marriage. From domestic violence and femicide to sexualised violence as a weapon of war.
All of these are consequences of the capitalist and patriarchal system in which we live and which profits from our oppression. As abstract as it sounds, it determines our reality, our behaviour, our lives.

Unterdrückung ist etwas, was uns weltweit verbindet. Erfahrungen, die wir kollektiv teilen.
Unterdrückung ist systematisch. Nicht nur hier bei uns, sondern überall auf der Welt. Von eingeschränkter Bildung, Selbstbestimmung und Zwangsheirat. Von häuslicher Gewalt, zu Femiziden bis hin zu sexualisierter Gewalt als Kriegswaffe.
All das sind Folgen des kapitalistischen und patriarchalen Systems, in dem wir leben und das von unserer Unterdrückung profitiert. So abstrakt es klingt, es bestimmt unsere Realität, unser Verhalten, unser Leben.

For a protest that is as diverse as we are. And as visible as the problems are.
As a strong response to the never-ending wars waged by autocrats who disregard dissent, human rights, international law, freedom of expression and freedom of the press, who deny the climate catastrophe, exploit people and nature, and amass unimaginable wealth.
All this goes hand in hand with increasing threats, impoverishment and discrimination against women* across the board.
It is time for an audible outcry – for a strong ENOUGH! GENUG! BASTA!
ON 9 MARCH 2026, A WOMEN'S STRIKE WILL TAKE PLACE.
Women* around the world will stop their paid and unpaid work to make visible how indispensable they are – and to stand together for equality, dignity, climate protection and a just society.
