In the art exhibition ‘Fire in the House of Darkness’, we want to walk with you through the path from oppression to anger to resistance.

Oppression is something that connects us worldwide. Experiences that we share collectively.

Oppression is systematic. Not only here, but everywhere in the world. From restricted education, self-determination and forced marriage. From domestic violence and femicide to sexualised violence as a weapon of war.

All of these are consequences of the capitalist and patriarchal system in which we live and which profits from our oppression. As abstract as it sounds, it determines our reality, our behaviour, our lives.

Rally against eviction!

We are under imminent threat of eviction. The f.a.q. has been in Neukölln for 15 years.

It is a self-managed space for queer-feminist politics. Now the owner has simply terminated the info centre's lease. 🤬

The termination comes at a time when queer and feminist spaces are under massive threat due to budget cuts in the state of Berlin. At the same time, attacks on queer people are on the rise. 😢

In addition, more and more small shops and queer spaces are closing due to rising rents. Rents continue to rise, making our lives difficult. 😵

🔥We are fighting back. Come to the rally! Neukölln remains queer and feminist!

We demand: f.a.q. stays! The owner must withdraw the termination! ✊

Kundgebung gegen Kündigung!

Wir sind akut von Räumung bedroht. Den f.a.q. gibt es seit 15 Jahren in Neukölln.

Es ist ein selbstverwalteter Raum für queerfeministische Politik. Jetzt hat die Eigentümerin den Infoladen einfach so gekündigt. 🤬

Die Kündigung fällt in eine Zeit, in der queere und feministische Räume durch Haushaltskürzungen im Land Berlin massiv gefährdet sind. Zugleich nehmen Angriffe auf queere Menschen zu. 😢

Außerdem schließen wegen steigender Mieten immer mehr kleine Läden und queere Räume. Die Mieten steigen immer weiter und machen uns das Leben schwer. 😵

🔥Wir wehren uns. Kommt zur Kundgebung! Neukölln bleibt queer und feministisch!
