Linux for pro audio is shit. I can never make anything work between reboots. I have an extremely simple setup, but to no avail. I'm going back to Windows for audio.
After faffing about with Wine for a couple of hours, I think I have finally managed to install Wine 9.21 on my computer, so now my VST plugins behave like they should. Next problem is to get Reaper to recognize my MIDI input device. For some reason there are two non-compatible MIDI routing systems on Linux.
I have gotten around that by using ALSA instead of Jack audio in Reaper.
So for some unknown reason i still get random crashes at my DAW in Win11.
Also trying to install NativeInstruments stuff on Linux is pure hell so i can't leave windows yet.
Can some Mac users please tell me that they also have issues here and there!?
