**Marcia Strassman.** More mildly amusing hijinks. Baker falls for a gorgeous doctor and pays Valentine to check him in as her patient. Complications ensue, and soon both of them are admitted to the base hospital. Pretty soon everyone connected to them is in the hospital, too. None of them are actually sick. I know it’s not particularly funny, but I like this cast a lot. Particularly Richard Jaeckel, David Naughton, and Jimmie Walker. It’s a harmless and likeable show, which, under different circumstances, could have lasted a few seasons. _Mar-Apr 1983: Aired by ABC on Fridays after Benson, before The Renegades. Against it: The Dukes of Hazzard (CBS), The Powers of Matthew Star (NBC)._ 6/10
I’m not using macOS 26 Tahoe yet – hopefully I’ll never have to; 🤞 the next version of macOS is less of a dumpster fire, and I’ll just skip Tahoe entirely.
But, looking over other people’s shoulders, and listening to the groans and cries, I’m struck by something. We’ve been here before. Icon jail, I mean (“Squircle” jail specifically in Tahoe’s case):

https://wadetregaskis.com/weve-been-in-squircle-jail-before/Another computer-driven story. This time, everyone is resentful when the computer (Hy Averback) is given more control of life on the base–security, diets, etc. Then, someone blows it up! Decent story idea. There are flashbacks for the various suspects. What they say and what we see actually happened are different. And it’s funny. _Mar-Apr 1983: Aired by ABC on Fridays after Benson, before The Renegades. Against it: The Dukes of Hazzard (CBS), The Powers of Matthew Star (NBC)._ 7/10
**Marj Dusay.** Simple-minded plot about using the base computer to find dates for the platoon. And make money! No real laughs but it’s amusing and amiable in execution. Richard Jaeckel responsible for a few decent chuckles. _Mar-Apr 1983: Aired by ABC in Friday’s first hour after Benson and before The Renegades. Against it: The Dukes of Hazzard on CBS, The Powers of Matthew Star on NBC._ 6/10
