Don't know if it was shared around here, but recently CarmahnArt (on bsky and other socials) launched Afro Index, a visual reference library of Black hairstyles. It looks really good!
Beyond photo references, it also includes the name of the hairstyles (and a glossary) which is super useful to describe images or look for additional refs.
It's been a while, but I finally caught up my giant Google doc of all my tutorials and resources. (I still have old Twitter links to update, please be patient with me 😭)

@grim_elsewhere I used to do daily gesture drawing. Basically drawing people in all kind of poses. It doesn't need to be detailed, the goal is to draw a lot of different poses and get the overall outline and gesture of the person. Very useful to practice a bit of anatomy and poses in general. You can do 1min per sketch and then a longer one of 5min or 10min.
I guess there's plenty of theory resources / tips about gesture drawing online. I can point to Adorka Stock to use their reference pictures for practice, they even have timers if you want to use them.

Also, a great book about anatomy if you want to practise it more and be less scared about it, is Anatomy for artists by Tom Fox (available in the Internet Archive!).
