Don't know if it was shared around here, but recently CarmahnArt (on bsky and other socials) launched Afro Index, a visual reference library of Black hairstyles. It looks really good!
Beyond photo references, it also includes the name of the hairstyles (and a glossary) which is super useful to describe images or look for additional refs.
I am happy to say that I am contributing to Shutterstock!
I'm getting into stock photography because I wish to provide textures and references artists can use.
I do plan on having everything I make become available, however. My shop will eventually have a digital listing that will have all images I created available for like...thirty bucks. Much like those stock image CDs back in the day.
