APC Annual Report 2023

APC's 2020-2023 strategic plan unfolded amid heightened global distress and a pervasive sense of uncertainty and rapid change, marked by the intensification of violence and an escalation of conflicts such as in Palestine, Israel, Sudan, Ethiopia and Myanmar, and a protracted war in Ukraine.

#apc2023 is awesome, but I really want to solve day 3 now. I perfectly accept the creator doing it when it is the right time though. I love it. But I will never be able to compete, as the new version is released 06am.
#APC2023 reflections. Succession in permaculture is robust, and exciting. The "elder" awards on the last night recognized and honoured the pioneers and what they have done to take it from idea to solidly grounded praxis. But what struck me about the convergence is how permaculture is maturing and expanding. (1 of 2)
The food at #APC2023 was *so* good, in all three of the Witches Kitchen meanings of the word. So many congratulations to the catering team and the suppliers for feeding all 300 of us so well for all three days. But ... it's also so good to be home and cooking from my own garden. Eggplant, onion, garlic, sweet corn, butter beans, tromboncino, squash, sweet basil, oregano, cherry toms, and first of the season silverbeet for dinner. Nice to get home and not have to go shopping. #permaculture
@BrightFlame Thank you! That's really nice to hear (I have plenty of typical writers' imposter syndrome:) I do think how communities come together, or not, is the most critical factor. I've just spent the last few days at #APC2023 and it was wonderful to find that as the common take in permaculture world these days.

Coming up for air after the Australian permaculture convergence #APC2023. So many inspiring stories and ideas.
Robin Clayfield's closing ceremony was incredible. It felt so deep and society-forming. It was futuristic, but not in the way the future is usually conceived.

I think such ceremonies represent a social technology, and I think maybe what we need into the future is less industrial technology, and more social/organic technology

I'm doing a talk today about permaculture and economics. It's going to be fun!
