i added drums. i was gonna leave it without them, but i enjoy sequencing percussion a lot so it just sorta happened. i also made a lot of little changes.

a quick untitled instrumental idea with 5 voices. another one of those harmonies permanently burned into my head.
i am using tempo, filter, reverb mix, and volume automations to build things up slowly, like an orchestral performance might do (sorta!). features an 808 bass, french horn, a choiry pad, a really shiny lead, and a sampled toy synth arpeggio.

Originally, this track was suffering from a few choices I made during production. I fixed a few of those things with this newer version. It's really not very different - exactly the same song really,
okay i re-mixed South Coast. like, actually just mixed it differently. a few things i was doing was making the track a lot worse than it could be, and i only noticed after a while. my soundcloud is basically full, and i wanna post this somewhere, so i'll just upload it here for now!

i called it 'Screamer' because the voice in the second part sounds like a mournful scream, i guess. it was the project name and it stuck. :3
it's a bit poppy, and a bit something else.

more work done and a second part added. i'm not sure how to proceed.
i was making this before i got distracted with the last sketch. this is just some basic loungy music, i think.
based on the success of my tenacity run, i wanna start sketching every idea i have in it first. seems like i get way more done in the stripped down environment, and i can think of the actual song and not all the MANY THINGS HAPPENING in a more fully-featured DAW (which are super useful in making music, but overwhelming and not at all immediately necessary when trying to get the main idea down).
more tenacity sketching, this time entirely with my casio. in 7/8 (and periodically a 9/8* measure), whee.
this is done by switching between two different rhythms at specific times using the rhythm selector while it plays. i did this manually for the entire span of the song, so the timing is varied.
better this time, as i have the visual of the rhythm waveform to line everything up by, even if a bit wayward.
not much else to it. in process, similar to the last one.

i often have some variation of this chord progression rattling around my head.
made this sketch in tenacity. played the parts individually, recording each to a track to a metronome at first (then to each part being played to), then adjusted things by paw after that to get it all synced up (nearly).
then i mixed everything down, duplicated the mix, 'paulstretched' that, but didn't actually stretch anything, lowered it by an octave, and then added reverb to it and layered it over the actual mix. i think it sounds neat.
