Weird exchange with my AMV Contest Coordinator over award names we're handing out for honorable mentions.

One entry submitted for the Upbeat/Dance category used a song that is catchy/dancy but the lyrics are depressing in a kind of haha barely holding it together way. Images from Shirobako & other shows.

I suggested we call it "Best Genre Subversion".

My Coordinator was like how about we call it "You need a hug, bro?" and that my suggestion might sound tone deaf.

I replied I don't see it that way, I'm autistic and just being factual, but it's your contest so I'm fine with your title I suppose.
