How do you build loyal subscribers?

On today’s episode of Dragon Talk, our main interviewer has returned. Today she asks Jiro Karrucci how he build his loyal subscriber base!

Jiro

Keep posting for years and years and years. Build something you love and also think they might like. Spend years cultivating it. And then, nothing happens. People don’t want something pure. They want something nasty.

So, trash that pure idea from your heart that you’ve built up and start selling booty pics. Start playing with toys. Start wearing provocative outfits. You’ll build a loyal subscriber base in no time.

Interviewer: wait what? That’s the complete opposite of what someone should be doing.

Jiro: why?

Interviewer: you’re telling them to give up on what they love to pursue sharing lewds.

Jiro: not my fault that that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Blame that one human with the island for the corn industry.

Interviewer: corn????

Jiro: you want to get your blog flagged???

Interviewer: *sigh* okay fine. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you.

Jiro: *shrugs* meh, it’s whatever. At least I get to support my dream with the money I make from selling tapes.

Interviewer: yeah I gue—wait tapes??? People still have VCRs??

Dragon Dossier: Benny

No one knows what he is. He could be the manifestation of someone’s inner self or an alien no one heard of. There is suspicion that he is a dragon, but a species no one has ever seen. Evidence points to him being a dragon from the Axienfa Dragons’ empire.

Backstory with Nadeshiko: Weak girl gets tangled with Benny, is enchanted, kills for the Benny and turns into a bad person herself BUT she becomes worse than Benny, so now Benny has to defeat her.

The progression of his story to draw:

• Benny drifting near a planet, in his Axienfan body
• Benny holding a small Nadeshiko in his hands, symbolizing his hold over her

In Empire of Dragons, Nadeshiko and Benny are tied together and move together. Their body seems to be mechanized and organic. They are five times bigger than their old selves, and are emotionless. Their eyes have no pupils. They appear to be modeled after (black) African serpent deities. Think JRPG/Final Fantasy antagonist but it’s African/Saharan-inspired design rather than European/Middle Eastern.

They are sent after Nari to kill her. She begs Ashuton, Thomas and Rico not to kill them, but the only way to stop them was to separate them. That would kill them, and when Rico gets tired of fighting, he pulls their plug.

Day 94-96 of Drawing. Still practicing on Coloso but at the same time trying to draw Madara. Trying to figure out how to draw hair tho.
