Update:
Blocking All the Bots on the Internet from crawling my website appears to have worked. AI summaries no longer reference me except through third parties (Amazon, etc). My website has also fallen down to the third page of search results on Google. It only took a week or so.
The result may appear to be unfortunate; I am trying to disseminate Norwegian folktales and legends (i.e. sell books), after all. But to me the most important consideration is preventing corporate vampires from feeding on my creative juices. It looks like I am succeeding at this.
But what about spreading the word? I have a plan. Whether it will work remains to be seen.

Yes it's a Pyrrhic victory, but I just added every crawler in the whole wide world to the robots.txt file on https://NorwegianFolktales.net. #FuckAI #FuckGoogle
I got the acknowledgements, author's note, and dedication for Rugosa out to the publisher last night. Expressing gratitude in public is surprisingly complicated. Patreon blog post for subscribers:

These paperback copies of Mrs. Cleyton just keep on arrivingβ¦
Last summer, I did game jams and published something every month for ~4 months running. I faltered in October and never quite made it back to a regular schedule.
I've got a few projects pending. Let's see if I can publish at least every other month in 2026.
Many towns in Sussex, South England felt abandoned, as Mrs. Cleyton had skipped them on her yearly visitations. But 2026 is promising to be different...

Work in progress.
In Child of the Moon, my readers descended down into a fearful hamlet in 1924 Scotland.
In 2016, I will send them down into the mind of a grieving widow who has lost her children.
Mrs. Cleyton β An absolutely terrifying suspense about the insanity of grief.
