A Journey into Women, Art and the Spirit World : She talks a bit about the #painter Richard Dadd, who went mad during his voyage to Europe & the Middle East, and subsequently killed his father who took care of him, because Richard thought him a daemon. Dadd was taken to Bethlehem Hospital (#Bedlam), where he was allowed to paint. And there he did this #portrait of the #alienist Alexander Morison, which I find weirdly #beautiful & #eerie. #painting
