Key air pollutant emissions decline across the EU, reducing ammonia biggest challenge

Key air pollutant emissions targeted for reductions and monitored under EU legislation continued to decline across most EU Member States according to the latest data assessment published by the European Environment Agency (EEA) today. However, reducing ammonia emissions remains a problem.

Most recent #StateofGlobalAir #PM25 data/information profile for #Malaysia,
1. UCL PM2.5 = 20.1 ug/m^3
2. UCL PM2.5-related xs deaths = 144000
3. UCL PM2.5 - 17% below #ASEAN levels, 172% above levels in W #Europe, 247% above levels in #Australasia, and 260% above #NorthAmerican levels. Again, crucial to note that country-wide PM levels likely do not mirror #urban #airpollutant levels. This occurrence may explain the seeming disconnect' w/excess mortality estimates.

3.UCL PM2.5 - 1.69% below #ASEAN levels, 203% above levels in W #Europe, 292% above levels in #Australasia, and 307% above levels in #NorthAmerica. Important to note that country-wide #airpollutant levels in Indonesia are deceptively lower than in its #urban areas.
