Ever look at your scrap paper and think, oh that looks pretty… this is totally just a mask for my multicoloured portrait* and a piece of paper on which I was cleaning excess ink off brayers.

*I printed my key block in black of my astronomer portrait and then cut out the shape so I could flip it over and use it to mask out areas I don’t want to get orange ink on them.

On my commute to and from work, along M-39, there's a spot between two bridges where the grass is overrun with lavender. It's been there more than a decade.

Always makes me smile when I drive by. Glad the DOT never saw fit to 'clean it up.'
