Some of my teas want to steep at 175°F, not boiling. So I boil 1 liter of water, then pour in 2 cups from my cold tap, which combines to make 175 (nice!).

Just did that, then... let it sit there? A couple of minutes later, I'm like, "Hey, Kagan, this is the part where you *need to pour it over a tea bag* if you want tea." 🍵
