Hi does anyone here use a Zoom H1 Essentials recorder. It has an input marked mic/line but when I feed a line signal into it I get the sound plus a click afterwards. It doesn't happen if I feed a mic level signal. So it seems this is something to do with the different levels. Thoughts?

So I guess I need a pad/attenuator. Anyone know one that uses a 3.5mm jack that I can get in Europe?

Sticky rubber, new Tubelord, and EU-alternatives

I hadn't used my Zoom H1 mic for ages because the rubber coating got really sticky, but I just read online that you can clean it up with vegetable oil. I tried olive oil and it did the job. Now my little Don King mic (my nickname for it) is back in action.

I swear, the battery on the #ZoomH1 dies so fast it's like using you're phone to charge it like all the time. Why is the battery life so bad? My Olympus DM720 lasted for a week give or take, but this thing goes by quic. Maybe it's because I'm the one dude who has had recorders that would die two weeks or a month, depending on use. With the ZoomH1, it goes by within three to five days, depending on how long you keep it on. You can't even charge it with USB like I could with the DM720. I don't use it for a lot, because I know now how fast it goes before it's dead again. I wunder if the reviews talk about this.

I made a video today reviewing the #ZoomH1 audio recorder, the 2024 model. I purchased it on Amazon on 9 July on a Tuesday, it came Thursday. I didn't use it right away because I didn't buy the kit that came with the SD card, but a few days later, I got a 128 GB SD card for it. Using a Zoom H1 with lavalier mic gives noise. I guess it is a 50hz something thing.

Without the lavalier mic and the built in microphone of the H1 no issue. The setup with lavalier on my desktop, no issue. The lavalier to the H1 and not connected to USB, no issue.

Anyone any idea on how to get rid of that noise?

Jatkoa sarjaan kotoa löytyviä epätavallisia soittimia. Golfpallot ja naksutin. Alunperin kai koirien kouluttamiseen tarkoitettu terävä-ääninen naksutin. Minä olen käyttänyt tätä klaffiäänenä monikamerakuvauksissa.

Golfpallot taas ovat peräisin Puijon metsästä. Vanhan golfkentän, nykyisen frisbeegolfradan mailta. Palloista lähtee monenlaisia ääniä, kun niitä pyörittelee, lyö tai napauttaa vastakkain… 🎶
