It's far from a perfect #game, but #ZombiU has such a great mechanic when it comes to player deaths:

If you die, most likely from #zombie attacks, you wake up as a different character. When you reach the place where your previous #character died, they'll be there, zombified with all the inventory items you had previously collected.
