But I don't hate it.
This is a game that tried things. Some worked, some didn't. It also has a bit of a "Mario" vibe in places.
But it's a passable Sonic adventure.

After reading this post from @ishambard , I popped the Hyrule Warriors disc (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyrule_Warriors) into the Wii U for #WiiUWednesday. I'm rusty, so I played through the first stage again as a refresher.
1600+ kills and 18 minutes later, I finished that level and had a grand time. It's like being in a ridiculous action movie. The only reason I'm not still playing is because my kid had already drained the battery on the Game Pad playing Skylanders after school, and it needs to recharge.

For #WiiUWednesday, I decided to end with some Cuphead (https://cupheadgame.com/). I know it's been ported to everything else by now, and the Wii U never got the DLC, but it's still a great game and plays beautifully on it's original release console.

The rivalry may have got... a bit more intense 😅 for the Rio games, but the comradery and spirit of the games remains.
