Don't listen to me, listen to what the knowledgeable Jewish people of conscience are saying themselves: #IlanPappe, #NoamChomsky, #GideonLevy, #GaborMate, #AuroraLevinsMorales, #ZacharyFoster, #BernieSanders, etc.

I was also educated (indoctrinated) to hate my neighboring country's people. It was until one of them landed at my class at secondary school and became my best friend that I started to wake up.

He and I learnt to laugh about the lies that we had been fed by our corresponding education systems.

I was grateful all my life for that early wake up call about the dangerous effects of propaganda, but still have to fight my biases until today, every day, it requires the discipline to search for a wide range of views, particularly for those that feel uncomfortable or unpleasant.
