A cheap LED strip light broke for the second time. The first was when the surface mount connector for the rechargeable battery came off the board.
This time I found that a leg had broken off a surface mounted chip - right at the chip's body! I managed to re-link the chip to the board with some wire wrap wire.
Not sure how long the fix will last considering the fault might have been caused by the PCB flexing when plugging in a USB-C cable to charge the battery.
