The specs and price make it look like a good deal, but the company struggles with execution and their response to failures. The UX is so flawed it's difficult to list every issue. This lack of quality suggests there may also be underlying security concerns invisible to the user. Honestly, #Perplexity is way superior. #Youcom #AI
You.com - Here is my final verdict: this organization is fundamentally incapable of delivering a basic, functional product. While the subsystems they use work just fine, their pathetic platform sits right in the middle, screwing everything up. Do not use You.com, and definitely don’t pay for a service that isn’t worth a cent and exists only to cause trouble and pain.

If you don’t believe me, go take a look at their support forum. And in case you need another reason to bail, let’s not forget they actively censor the place, scrubbing posts to hide any mention of the serious issues people are actually reporting.

The fact is that there's no way to fix broken companies or products. The flaw is a much deeper cultural and attitudinal problem within the organization. If their intention is not to make a working product, nor do they care about the results, it is what it is. The only sane option is to get rid of such services, because there's practically nothing else you can do.

#Ecosia and #Startpage started showing less relevant results for some reason, the articles that answered my questions didn't even misspell the surname in any way. #DuckDuckGo and #Qwant showed different results, but just as useless. Brave continued to ignore the surname while #youcom wrote it couldn't find anything and described other basketball players instead, as if it was a compensation of sorts.

#Ecosia and #Startpage showed me what I wanted to know, with #DuckDuckGo and #Qwant showing significantly less relevant results. #Brave ignored the surname altogether while #youcom combined several people into one, none of them being my friend. After correction the results displayed were different for each #search engine, with Startpage crashing when I was jumping between the two queries, but recovering without forgetting my queries.

Recently I grew tired of #DuckDuckGo results quality and #Startpage issues, so I went on a search for a new #searchengine. Afer few tries I settled on the following four to compare to the two I'm already using:
#Ecosia
#Brave
#Qwant
#youcom (turned into AI chatbot since I last tried it).
