#OTD Reuters news reported on the #Botanical #Artwork controversy re: new #Canadian currency.

Unfortunately, the #Maple #Leaf on the 20-dollar note was the #Norway Maple and NOT the #Sugar Maple - the Country's emblem.

The #Botanist, Sean #Blaney, who tracks #Plants for the Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Center in #NewBrunswick, noticed the error.

The Norway Maple has more lobes than the Sugar Maple. 😱🍁
