KI7CFOI finally got some time with the #Xeigu #x6200 #hamradio #AmateurRadio pretty happy ... when on a good antenna. Performance when on the vertical I bought... Much less so. I did crimp on #andersonpowerpoles and hook it up to my battery so that I could run 8W. I suspect this unit will perform best on mountain tops on 40m CW, but I want SSB! MarcI purchased a Xiegu X6200 QRP HF radio back in August. Since it arrived I’ve made nearly 1,100 contacts, including my longest DX (New Caledonia), finished up my WAS, and worked all continents. Not bad for 8 watts! #amateurradio #hamradio #xeigu
Jeff KC1PYTI'm trying to get my #baofeng to talk to a #winlink #varafm station over 2m #VHF and not having much luck. I'm using the #soundmodem software paired with a #digilink as a TNC.
Can someone please point me to a *meticulous* setup and troubleshooting guide? I don't yet know enough about these bits of tech to reason abstractly and troubleshoot on the fly; it's really frustrating. Thanks!

My new #Xeigu x6100 is going to be here tomorrow. Can't wait! This thing is so hackable it's not even funny. It's basically a little Linux box with an SDR and a transmitter.
