PRIVACY LOST is a short film about our augmented future and the dangers that headed our way. Unless regulated, AR/VR devices could track our behaviours and monitor our emotions like never before.

The film was developed with support from Minderoo Pictures, the Responsible Metaverse Alliance, and the XR Guild. It aims to educate the public and policymakers about these emerging risks.

Doctors have an oath and licensing boards. Engineers have Professional Engineer licensing. Even drivers are licensed, after learning about safety and traffic laws. All of these exist because wrong actions can hurt people.

We don’t really have this in Computer Science yet, except for certifications you can pay for in various technologies.

The #XRGuild was born to mentor professionals in XR, Spatial Computing & Metaverse to make the most ethical decisions in their work.
