Remember my #issue with same hard- and software but one device doesn't support the native resolution of an external TFT?

I found some time to re-test certain things:

Issue sticks to the SSD when switched between the 2 #X13 devices -> it's a software bug.

Same BIOS settings, same GRUB settings, same BIOS firmware but different "Capabilities" reported by "lspci -v":

Would you help me with an issue? Two almost identical #Lenovo #x13 2-in-1 Gen 5: one is able to use the correct screen resolution of an external TFT, the other one not.

The only thing with a difference I found so far is within the output of "lspci -v" which lists different capabilities. But I don't know what to do next ...

My #Lenovo #x13 manual says:
"Maximum #altitude (without pressurization): 3048 m (10,000 ft)"

Well, that's actually interesting to know because here in #Austria, you can easily end up working at heights exceeding that.

Anybody an idea why there is this limit and why it is rather low?

A thing that only nerds do: opening a brand new notebook before first boot. 🤓

Do you own a 2-in-1 or #Yoga or similar notebook (#convertible to a tablet form factor), perhaps with (Debian) #Linux?

Preferably a #Lenovo #ThinkPad like the #X13 #2in1?

Please comment if you do have issues with the pen or multi-touch on Linux.

I just found out that #Lenovo changed their #ThinkPad line this year: most probably, there won't be an X13 Gen 6 2-in-1 with multi-touch.

Instead, there's a very light #X13 (w/o 2-in-1 or touch) and a new #T14s 2-in-1 with multi-touch with more weight and bigger size than the X13 of course. 🤷

Tough choice for me. 🤔

If I settle for the X13: should I go for the AMD Ryzen or the intel Core Ultra 5? (I'll run Debian 13 + Wayland + Gnome on it and I prefer more silent systems.)

According to a leak, Lenovo is preparing to launch a completely new ThinkPad model. The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1, a convertible version of the popular Lenovo ThinkPad T14s, seems to be replacing the ThinkPad X13 2-in-1 - is another small laptop series going the way of the dodo?

Забыл написать вчера - тыкпад показывает себя в работе весьма неплохо. Приятно, когда ОЗУ используется не более, чем на 60%. При этом я себя вообще не ограничивал: два браузера (рабочий хромиум и личный фф с кучей вкладок), кассандра в докере (обычно отключаю, ибо жрёт много ОЗУ), тг, рубимайн и прочее.
Но не привык ещё к клавиатуре - непривычное расположение Home/End, PgUp/PgDown, да и вообще кнопки других размеров.
Всё ещё непривычно быстро тает заряд аккумулятора - но тут ёмкость меньше в два раза, практически, чем у старого асуса. Плюс к этому ограничил заряд сверху до 85% - чтобы увеличить срок его жизни.
И надо менять матрицу монитора на что-то поярче. Варианты присмотрел, но надо уточнять у специалистов.
Тачпад пару раз притормозился, но сам и очухался.
