American golfer Wyndham Clark has apologised for hurling his driver through an advertisement board during the final round of the PGA Championship. The 31-year-old was heavily criticised on social media for the outburst, which followed a poor tee shot at the 515-yard par-four 16th. Clark went on to make bogey before pars on the final two holes left him tied for 50th at four-over-par.
