R to @WeBalkans: Because protecting the environment is not a one-day message.
It is a shared responsibility, a long-term commitment and a choice we make every day.

RT by @eubih: Today is #WorldEnvironmentDay.
The EU is working towards a climate-neutral future.
The 2040 climate target is to reduce net greenhouse gas emissions by 90% compared to 1990 levels.

5 June marks World Environment Day 2026, under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future”, highlighting the important role of nature-based solutions in addressing climate change and supporting sustainable livelihoods…

The idea for World Environment Day came about during the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, which was held in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1972. At this conference, representatives from over 100 countries came together to discuss the impact of human activities on the environment and to consider ways to address these issues.
