Excited to start the new year drawing! So here’s my submission for @Kitty’s #kuchenKritzelei #ArtChallenge.

A pencil drawing using no eraser, in this case, a desk clock that honestly deserves an honor slot on the #WonkyWednesday hall of horrors 🫣

Still, I have to admit it is somewhat fun and exciting to draw with no safety net, even if it really lays bare my shortcomings (like the fact I suck at perspective) 😅

It’s #WonkyWednesday again, and here’s a dark page from my distant past. One of my teachers made me realize how important “learning to see” was when making art. He asked us if we considered ourselves good observers and immediately challenged us to draw from memory things written on little papers we pulled at random from a tin… it was a humbling but eye-opening experience 😅

Here’s my horrible attempt at drawing a motorcycle just from memory 🫣

So here's my contribution to #WonkyWednesday - some of my daily scribbles that normally don't see the light of day. For the kingfisher, I drew the top left one from memory and then studied the bird some more, resulting after several iterations in the bottom right one. I think the rest are all drawn from memory/imagination.

In other words, do use references. :)
