This women-only, free, full-day bootcamp (for those born or identifying as women) brings BlackHoodie to Luxembourg to help more women enter and grow in cybersecurity. Expect challenging, technical content, not a social club: hands-on training designed to build deep skills, confidence, and community in a comfortable environment where gender doesn’t have to be the topic.

BlackHoodie focuses on quality over quantity with small groups, volunteer-led events, and an independent, community-first mission. Alumnae have gone on to land security roles, speak at major conferences, run their own trainings, and mentor others – this bootcamp is a launchpad, not a finish line.

There are a lot of amazing BSides conferences all around the world (seriously don’t know why so many potential sponsors snooze on the relationships cultivated through these events) — but I’ll never forget meeting @rnbwkat at BSides Costa Rica several years ago & working my tail off for nearly a year to recruit her to Uber (one of the smartest people I’ve ever worked with & we got so much better with her leadership!) — and now, it’s my extreme pleasure & honor to return to my hometown this week with @Discernible as a financial sponsor of @bsideschicago & her #1 cheerleader.

I interviewed a candidate for an intern position yesterday. When I described the job I told her it was meant for us to develop her and hopefully we get something useful too.

My favorite part was the look on her face when I told her that no matter whether or not she gets the gig, she beat out dozens of other candidates to get the interview, and that she has a bright future.

But you know what? She's got skillz and I'll probably extend an offer.
