Packet Time Out, CV11, an option in the #NMRADCC Standard for Multifunction Decoders. After loss of the DCC signal the vehicle stops, time determined by CV11.

If you install an energy storage device (aka a "keep alive") adjustments will be needed to prevent the decoder from immediately stopping the vehicle

Inrush currents caused by energy storage devices used with #NMRADCC multifunction decoders can trigger overcurrent protection.

Many boosters react to sudden changes in current, not a fixed limit. A sudden spike will trigger the overcurrent cutout.
