What I happened to read in October:
#VirginiaWoolf, Between the Acts, 1941
#ThomasMann, Confessions of Felix Krull, 1954
#FrantzFanon, The Wretched of the Earth, 1961
#PatBarker, Burn Your House Down, 1984
#WilsonHarris, Da Silva da Silva's Cultivated Wilderness & Genesis of the Clowns, 1977.

This last book, Genesis of the Clowns, might be Harris's Heart of Darkness -- it's that good -- except it's a kind of bitter comedy.

Don't post so much about art here but I have gone back to Sria Chatterjee's 'conversation piece/questionnaire' on 'The Arts, Environmental Justice, and the Ecological Crisis' for British Art Studies. I was re-reading Giulia Smith's bit on 'Lessons from the Eco-Caribbean' as I have become a fan of her research (one of the few people I have met reading #WilsonHarris) -- there's a lot else here that's good, too. #BritishArtStudies #Art #Ecology #Environmental Justice https://www.britishartstudies.ac.uk/issues/issue-index/issue-18/arts-environmental-justice-ecological-crisis
@profchander I started #WilsonHarris in the middle period with and am going back to the beginning, you could probably start anywhere and it would make its crazy sense
