@Heliograph @davidv @jikomayo @adamhsparks #session started as a fork of #signal that is designed to run over an #onionrouting system. It has more privacy features than most messaging networks have. Both the server and the client are open-source.

I've been using #session for a couple of years now that #wickrme shutdown. In general, it it is good. It had a rough time for a while as it was Target targeted my a multi-month long #ddos attack, but those have seem to be resolved over 9 months ago.

#India bans following messaging apps because they think terrorists use them: #Element, #Wickrme, #Mediafire, #Briar, #BChat, #Nandbox, #Conion, #IMO and #Zangi

I do not know half the apps listed above but Element too? It is just a Matrix client 🤷‍♂️

Wickr Me, Amazon's encrypted chat app, stops accepting new users

The decision to shut down the app follows an NBC News investigation that revealed it had become a go-to tool for people trading child sexual abuse material.

@lisahippy

Wickr Me will unfortunately be there only until the end of next year. Here's their info:

#WickrMe

Our focus on end-to-end encrypted enterprise communications

Since AWS acquired Wickr in 2021, we've listened closely to our customers to better understand their requirements for end-to-end encryption.

AWS Wickr

Looks like #AWS is pivoting #Wickr to focus on the enterprise & public sector markets as it will discontinue its #WickrMe consumer service.

Considering that #AWS is mainly about #B2B & enterprise solutions, this makes sense. Plus, the consumer messaging space is completely saturated with #WhatsApp, #SignalApp, #Telegram, #Viber, #WireMessenger, #Threema & more!
