The reason so many white people reduce their entire cultural identity to genetic heritage is because there is no other material delineation for them to point to. Spirituality, political/economic organization, history, music, art, etc. has all been fractured into the smallest bite size pieces possible and absorbed into #whiteness

I think the most fundamental bedrock of #whiteness is that there was never an indigenous precursor to modern day white people.

This is, of course, ahistorical and that transition required the mass slaughter and enslavement of those who resisted it.

This has very important implications for how white people view their place in the world.

Why is this certain subset of the world population absolutely obsessed with accumulating power and asserting dominance in a world that they view themselves as a completely foreign aberration trapped within?

Let alone climate change. Why wouldn't white people informed by this kind of thinking not try to actively kill the planet?

This is the root of alienation under #Capitalism which eventually escalates into the much more extreme alienation of no time and no place.

They've created their own artificial ecology to live within and feel in control of.

#Polytheists and #Pagans can try to extradite themselves as much as they want from racist and white supremacist infiltration of their practices but if #accessibility isn't a foremost concern we inherently relegate our practice to the most privileged of society. In doing so we become a part of the problem, not the solution.

Elitism and exclusion are the root of this issue. Without accessibility we are culpable.

The concept of “whiteness” crystallized over centuries, creating hierarchical structures that placed “white” at the top of a racial pyramid. It became synonymous with normalcy, power, and privilege, reinforcing structures that marginalized other racial and ethnic groups. This construct subtly infiltrated all spheres of life through colonization, globalization, and systemic practices, from culture to legislation.
