A mobile phone with open hardware and a linux based open source operating system but locked down to run only 3 services:

1. Phone
2. Identity attestation (passwords, passkey, TOTP, verifiable attestations/credentials on the device, all backed by an open hardware Secure Enclave)
3. Browser

Camera optional. No App Store. Minimal (encrypted) local storage, but that’s it.

Waiting for one of the big yarn companies to come out with a Websafe color yarn palette for cross stitching and embroidery, so that I can start building an embroidery side project for geeks and nerds that want t-shirts, Polos etc with their fav gifs or other logos. #WhatIsMissing

An independent (maybe federated?) review site/collection, where reviews are from real, honest people but also where you can only post a review after at least 90 days of use of the product you review.

#WhatIsMissing a search engine feature that allows me to find reviews of devices after they have been used for 3,6,9,12 months. Whenever I research a device I get gazillions of sponsored videos/reviews around launch time, but it is really hard to find reviews after X months that also talk about firmware updates during that time etc. But that's what I need for a good decision on investing my money ...
