The problems that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is causing, ranging from the continued apparently unjustified killings of dozens of people in the Caribbean to talking about secret information to an unauthorized person during a military attack on Yemen, are discussed in this half hour episode of #WashingtonWeek:

My previous boost mentioned: "Trump’s weird celebration, the saddest birthday parade in the world."

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth was responsible for that pathetic attempt at a parade, and people at #WashingtonWeek said he is who Trump correctly blames for this sad sight. Pete could be fired very soon. 😀

There are many reasons for Trump to fire Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
The embarrassingly pathetic military parade on Trump's birthday
is why Trump could soon fire Pete Hegseth, according to #WashingtonWeek.

When I say "Peter Baker is certainly not a conservative shill" @PattyHanson, my conclusion is based on what he wrote often in the New York Times, and what he said on #WashingtonWeek on PBS where he is often a panelist. He is usually critical of Trump. He is a moderate, not a conservative. I like Peter Baker. I do not like anyone who is pro-Trump. #media #politics
According to #WashingtonWeek, Joe Biden was weak before this date, but by April 2023 Joe Biden fell apart, in the sense that he was almost helpless. His advisers kept him hidden to a very large extent. Campaign adviser Mike Donilon demanded to be paid $4 million in campaign funds to work for Biden, and Biden approved of that outrageously large payoff. This was one example of Biden's poor judgment. Even worse was Biden's active support of genocide by Israel against innocent Palestinians.
Despite everything that happened in Washington DC and in the world last week, #WashingtonWeek on PBS devoted its entire half hour to this news report: the Jake Tapper book #OriginalSin about Joe Biden's unfitness to be president and how Biden's insisting to seek re-election helped to re-elect Trump. They also showed some of Biden's miserably bad answers to debate questions, when Biden and Trump were on stage together, to let voters compare each candidate to his opponent. Biden fell apart.
On #WashingtonWeek, Eugene Daniels spoke about Republican Senators being afraid of violence from pro-Trump extremists. He should have confessed his own fear which led him, like a coward, to fire talented comedian Amber Ruffin from being the entertainer at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner. #politics #media
People on #WashingtonWeek were also surprised that Kamala Harris made 'the Politics of Joy' her theme, because it was so out of step with the mood of most voters. They were mainly angry voters. #politics
By insisting on an early #debate, Pres. Joe Biden revealed himself to be incompetent to be a presidential candidate, and he was quickly (but not quickly enough) replaced by Kamala Harris. If the debate had been held in October, as it often is, Biden would have remained the candidate because there would not have been enough time to replace him. This is via #WashingtonWeek #politics
