Agi: Dalla Real Colonia al futuro: a San Leucio rinasce l’eredità della parità di genere

AGI - La più grande celebrazione dell’eccellenza femminile a livello globale che ha visto in programma per tre giorni, da venerdì 6 a domenica 8 marzo 2026, convergere a Caserta alcune tra le più grandi testimonial ed eccellenze di ogni settore: scrittrici, giornaliste, docenti, artiste, critiche letterarie, professioniste di varie discipline, ma anche content creator e protagoniste della comunicazione digitale.
Tra gli spazi dell’Archivio di Stato della Reggia di Caserta e il Belvedere di San Leucio, il festival internazionale “Caserta, la città delle donne”, organizzato dalla Fondazione Orizzonti, è stata dedicata al protagonismo femminile e alle politiche per l’uguaglianza.

L'eredità storica della parità di genere a San Leucio
Il progetto si basa su una storia che ha ben 250 anni, quando nella Real Colonia di San Leucio venne sancita per la prima volta al mondo la parità di genere. La parità non venne sancita solo come principio, ma applicata producendo risultati straordinari. Il Codice di San Leucio, che seguì alla fondazione della Real Colonia, è il primo impianto giuridico al mondo nel quale viene sancita la parità di genere. Pose la figura femminile al centro di un sistema di sviluppo integrato, produsse risultati straordinari, rendendo San Leucio un esempio di progresso civile, economico e industriale senza precedenti in Europa.
Temi e riflessioni del festival
Ed è proprio rinnovando l'eredità storica di Caserta che nella tre giorni del Festival si è sviluppato un grande racconto fatto di cultura, comunità, creatività, riflessione e bellezza. Bilanci e sfide del gender gap, visioni, diritti e futuro al femminile. Ma anche le donne in prima linea, la leadership femminile, fino alla problematica dei femminicidi.
La chiusura del festival e la scoperta del codice
A chiudere oggi il Festival, nella giornata dell’8 marzo, il panel “Ridurre le distanze” con la presidente della Fondazione Marisa Bellisario, Lella Golfo, e Anna Rossomando, Wanda Ferro, Enzo Battarra. “Per me - ha detto la presidente della Fondazione Bellisario, Lella Golfo - è stata una scoperta fantastica quella del Codice che aveva visto proprio nel borgo di San Leucio, nel 1776, la proclamazione della parità di genere da parte di Ferdinando IV di Borbone”.

Closing today’s Festival, on March 8th, was the panel “Reducing the Distances” with the President of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation, Lella Golfo, and Anna Rossomando, Wanda Ferro, Enzo Battarra. “For me - said the President of the Bellisario Foundation, Lella Golfo - it was a fantastic discovery to find the Code that had seen, in the hamlet of San Leucio, in 1776, the proclamation of gender equality by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon.”
