"The West of England Combined Authority is responsible for managing the electric scooter and electric bike trial run by Dott."

We pedestrians have been complaining about poor scooter parking for years, so change 'managing' above to 'mismanaging'.

Parking bays for e-scooters coming to Bristol

It comes after a raft of complaints from pedestrians and people in wheelchairs

From the reader comments: "The main image looks like a photoshopped Belfast Glider bus. They've even left the big G on the front."

A little bit of grubbing pulls up an Alamy stock photo of a bus at the right angle.

Your plagiarism has been rumbled, #WECA.

Trams could finally return to Bristol

But there are plenty of caveats

#Bristol's petrolheads love moaning their heads off, Ms Godwin.

A senior Bristol councillor says she has "struggled" to comprehend Helen Godwin's decision

"Ultimately, the most tangible impact of joining WECA that people in North Somerset will notice is that every four years there will be another election to vote in."

However, what is clear from the piece is that the residents of North Somerset is that they're NOT being given a vote or even CONsulted on whether they wish to join the West of England Combined Authority in the first place.

A fine example of British 'democracy' in action.

Yay! Another invisible #Bristol bus today on top of random cancellations on a Metrobus route. Come on #WorstBus and #WECA... This is unacceptable!

@wood5y I nearly got caught out again (after I tooted) at the stop by Electricity House. Parked up buses blocking the stop (again) so had to stand in the road to flag one down. Nearly missed it but as we pulled away there were people frantically trying to get the driver's attention.

My toot was originally inspired by the m2 being repeatedly cancelled when I've tried to catch it this week and today facing full BadgerLine routes not stopping (obviously) to pick up in Howells.

None of these journeys were in the rush hour: mid morning or mid afternoon.

Between #WorstBus #motorists and the disgracefully ineffective #WECA the #bus users of #Bristol are being ignored, mistreated and gaslit!

#WorstBus #Bristol should be forced to provide free transport until they can run something worth paying for! #RipOff #WECA

Do you know what would be better in #Bristol than the erratic, uncomfortable, bouncy-riding metrobus services that use bus lanes that are too narrow? A fucking #tram!

#WECA, #BristolCityCouncil, #UKGov, et al: get your fucking act together!

#PublicTransport #MassTransit #GreenTransport

And so in #WECA the lurch to the right continues despite much of the area being #progressive and left.

First place: #Labour. Second place: #ReformUK Ltd.

#FPTP needs to go. #ElectoralReformNow or yesterday is desperately needed, otherwise we'll keep getting minority lunatics trashing the country, councils and people against the will of the majority!

Far too many people voting for reform for my liking. Would have been interesting to see the result if we hadnโ€™t gone back to FPTP as I think some of those red votes would have been green. Having said that, would some of those dark blues gone cyan? #Bristol #weca
