I’m so incredibly exhausted, but also feeling so excited. Web Directions Code 2024 was truly an amazing event, I’m so grateful I got to speak and attend! I really can’t believe I met and talked to so many wonderfully interesting people.

@huijing’s awesome talk at Web Directions code mentioned that CSS was not initially intended to be a tool for handling layout. Which, I’ve gotta say, is surprising 🤯 but also not that surprising.
Check out where it’s mentioned in appendix E of CSS level 1:
