I was having an interesting convo with a friend yesterday about the Netrunner CCG and about how it "died" when Wizrards decided not to make it anymore.

There are gaming companies that are still developing and making new unofficial sets and playtesting and releasing them to print, but since the game is "dead" nobody other than the company that owns it is going to complain, the community will actually celebrate it if the work was done well. If said makers were to get in legal trouble, they would get a cease and desist, they would stop, open up another company by another name and just start from zero again.

To me this is the best case scenario for any game. Games don't need markets to exist. Nothing needs a market t exist.
It only needs hearts to keep it living and growing.

Do what you love.
