US oil and gas company Viper Energy will take over Sitio for US$4.1bn

Viper Energy, a subsidiary of Diamondback Energy focused on oil and gas production in the Permian Basin (United States), has entered into a definitive agreement with Sitio, under the terms of which Viper will acquire Sitio in an all-equity transaction valued at around US$4.1bn, including Sitio’s net debt (around US$1.1bn as of 31 March 2025).
