
The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) anticipates continued growth in US LNG exports, supported by the commissioning and ramp-up of five LNG export projects by the end of 2027 (EIA presentation, 16/04/2026). The current US peak LNG export capacity stands at nearly 140 Mt/year. By 2027, several projects are expected to expand this capacity:

US energy infrastructure developer Pacifico Energy has announced that it has been authorised to begin site survey assessments for a 500-MW offshore wind project in the waters off Ho Chi Minh City, southeastern Vietnam (Pacifico Energy announcement, 14/04/2026).
