Touchstones for my Victorian seaside campaign, one a day. Number 3:
Location: Barrow in the mudflats. Hidden deep in the grey-green grasses: a pile of massive stones, each larger than a man and encrusted with frost. A single door-stone, carved deeply with runes and fully ten feet tall at the front lies in pieces - newly cracked open by beings unknown. Crossing the marshes requires a guide in the daytime - and even with one is extremely perilous at night.

Equipment: In a dark tomb, three uniformed men operate a Gatling gun (a hand-cranked machine gun on wheels). Blinding light, deafening sound, and acrid smoke fill the space as a hundred bullets tear into the massed undead.

New thread! 10 touchstones for my Victorian seaside campaign seed, one a day. Here's the first one:
Location. The palm house: A high ceilinged glasshouse; ferns and palms press against the glass creating a discreet meeting place in their heart. White paint curls off the rusted metal frame. It is cold and drafty; the view - when it is not hidden behind lashing rain - is of the rough grey-green sea.
