Una donna di 75 anni, Alfonsa Curiale, è morta dopo essere stata investita insieme alla sorella mentre attraversava sulle strisce pedonali in via Carnia, a Milano. La sorella, di 70 anni, è ricoverata in gravi condizioni all’ospedale Niguarda.
L’investimento è avvenuto nella notte ed è stato causato da un’auto, una Smart nera, guidata da un uomo di 39 anni residente a Segrate.
Il conducente positivo ad alcol e droga: si è poi costituito
Secondo quanto ricostruito dalla Polizia Locale, l’uomo avrebbe investito le due donne senza fermarsi a prestare soccorso, allontanandosi subito dopo l’impatto. Dai primi test sarebbe risultato con un tasso alcolemico quattro volte superiore al limite consentito e positivo al narcotest.
Dopo circa un’ora di fuga, il 39enne si è costituito al comando della Polizia Locale di via Ornato, presentandosi con l’auto incidentata. Sarebbe stato raggiunto dalla segnalazione dei genitori, che avrebbero contattato il 112 dopo aver appreso dell’accaduto.
Il conducente è stato arrestato con le accuse di omicidio stradale e omissione di soccorso, aggravate dallo stato di ebbrezza e dall’assunzione di sostanze stupefacenti.

A 75-year-old woman, Alfonsa Curiale, died after being hit along with her sister while crossing the street on the pedestrian crossing on Via Carnia, Milan. Her sister, 70 years old, is hospitalized in serious condition at the Niguarda Hospital.

The accident occurred in the night and was caused by a car, a black Smart, driven by a 39-year-old man resident in Segrate.

The driver tested positive for alcohol and drugs: he subsequently surrendered.

According to the local police reconstruction, the man had hit the two women without stopping to provide assistance, immediately after the impact. Initial tests revealed a blood alcohol level four times higher than the legal limit and a positive drug test.

After about an hour of fleeing, the 39-year-old turned himself in to the local police command at Via Ornato, arriving with the damaged car. He was reached by a report from his parents, who had contacted 112 after learning about the incident.

The driver was arrested on charges of road homicide and failure to provide assistance, aggravated by intoxication and the use of narcotics.

In un primo momento non si era fermato, aveva continuato la sua corsa senza prestare i soccorsi. Due le donne investite in un’incidente a Milano, due sorelle di 75 e 70 anni: per una non c’è stato niente da fare mentre l’altra è in gravi condizioni. Poco dopo l’uomo, un 39enne, si è costituito agli agenti della Polizia Locale. Sottoposto ai test, dai controlli è emerso un tasso alcolico quattro volte oltre il consentito, positivo anche al test sulle sostanze stupefacenti.
La tragedia si è consumata in via Carnia. Secondo le ricostruzioni le donne stavano attraversano sulle strisce pedonali intorno alle 21:30 di mercoledì, sono state investite dalla smart che procedeva a velocità sostenuta. La vittima si chiamava Alfonsa Curiale, 75 anni: dopo l’impatto sarebbe stata sbalzata per circa 25 metri. Soccorsa d’urgenza e trasportata all’ospedale San Raffaele, è morta poco dopo.
La sorella, 70 anni, è stata invece trasportata in codice giallo all’ospedale Niguarda. È ricoverata ma non è in pericolo di vita. Sul posto erano presenti dei testimoni. L’uomo ha fatto perdere le sue tracce per circa un’ora. Sarebbero stati i genitori, venuti a conoscenza del fatto, a chiamare il 112 secondo quanto riporta Il Corriere della Sera. Si è costituito al comando della Polizia locale di via Ornato. È stato arrestato con l’accusa di omicidio stradale e omissione di soccorso. Ancora in corso gli accertamenti per ricostruire la dinamica dell’investimento.

The tragedy occurred on Via Carnia. According to reconstructions, the women were crossing the pedestrian crossings around 9:30 pm on Wednesday when they were hit by a Smart car traveling at high speed. The victim was named Alfonsa Curiale, 75 years old; after the impact she was thrown approximately 25 meters. She was urgently rescued and transported to the San Raffaele Hospital, where she died shortly after.

The sister, aged 70, was instead transported by yellow code to the Niguarda Hospital. She is hospitalized but not in life-threatening condition. Witnesses were present at the scene. The man disappeared for about an hour. It was the parents, who became aware of the event, who called 112, according to reports from Il Corriere della Sera. He turned himself in to the command of the Local Police at Via Ornato. He was arrested on charges of causing death while driving and failing to provide assistance. Investigations are still ongoing to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.
