What is wrong with #GlobalHealth?

“A critical studies definition of global health would consider global health as the practice of public health in high-income countries for low-income countries.” @@girijasankar06

This came up at #SkollWF & prompted me to look further. It feels like seeking new thinking, crossing disciplinary boundaries, only to find the same problems repeated. Thoughts?

Smart motorways cut https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65288852

This seems an inconsistent application of criteria compared to other road types & transport modes. What about the -ve impacts resulting?

The PM says ‘all drivers deserve to have confidence in the roads they use to get around the country’. Will the same benefit be granted to all road users?

Maybe the smart thing to do would be put the £1bn saved back into the active travel funding slashed a few weeks ago? @@livingstreets #ViaMastodon
