@farah @quaap there's a 1902 recording on #wikipedia of the #civilwar marching song. Some of the recordings of the #music from the early post #war years are eerily wonderful.

There's a really odd one of a hall full of Confederate veterans doing the Rebel Yell, and I can tell you, it doesn't make a good wake up alarm at all.
