Just finished to figure out what an #Anvil profile screen could look like:

Anvil is going to be an #F2 (Federated Forge) client that is supposed to work with servers like #vervis.

No idea what I'm talking about? It is basically doing what mastodon is to twitter – but with Github.

Neat! I'm considering deploying a #vervis instance to start mirroring some of my Github repos with a longer term goal of having all my git/code stuff on the fediverse as @forgefed gets implemented in more contexts.

Welcome to Vervis!

@forgefed Looks great! 👏🏽

I had some problems with setting up ssh (bcs I rushed w/ docs) and I had to create main branch on my repo.

Is there a way to follow my #vervis account from #mastodon ? Would be great if I'd be notified in mastodon for any PRs, issues, ... here directly.

@hamid @humanetech @brennen @cj @stevenroose Hmm yes, latest #vervis update was:

@gamey there is indeed, @forgefed is a draft standard and it's implemented in #Vervis right now, followed hopefully by #Pagure and #Gitea.

@happybeing Maybe you want to host a copy on #Vervis, the reference implementation of the #ForgeFed draft standard? They have federated nodes for testing, too.

(The visual theme is a bit harsh, I know)

@bzg The software arm of the #ForgedFed work is #vervis, the reference implementation:

dev.angeley.es/s/fr33domlover/… <-- a Darcs repo hosted on Vervis!

So it's self-hosted and it already does stuff (quoting the repo README from the above link):

ForgeFed website and WIP spec

Hello community!

Following and unfollowing is implemented in #Vervis, Push activities are generated when you `git push` or `darcs push`. I'm doing some little UI tweaks and writing the demo instructions :)

Pushing to repos as a remote collaborator is much more complicated, and is still being discussed, and will come in the next demos.

Btw the #ActivityPub forum, SocialHub, is back at a new address: https://socialhub.activitypub.rocks

(Our forum is still at talk.feneas.org)

More #ForgeFed news soon :)
