This might be finished! I have to let it steep a bit to be sure. This is from a trip to visit to visit an old friend in Vermont. I got up at 3am and drove around all the wonderful little towns around.

This has been simmering on an easel in my studio while I worked on other paintings, and now I'm pissed and want to finish it. It's closer, but there are heaps of things still to work on. I like it when close attention is rewarded with an area starting to feel real.

Kind of in the weeds on this one now. All the jive work of laying things out is done, so now I have to actually paint in earnest. Everything is an approximation of how it should be, but actually a ways away still. Thank God for music!

Some more work on this. It's super messy and rough, but I have to be able to work on without freaking out about these in between stages! Now it's more the real sky color and street value, and I've just barely begun putting some appropriate colors in places on the houses here and there.
