Varangian Runestones
There are about 28 runestones that mention travels to the east by people in Scandinavia during the Viking Age. Most of these runestones are in Sweden around the lake Mälaren, but a few are in Denmark and Norway. During the summers of 2022 and 2023, I rode with my motorcycle to visit as many of the Varangian Runestones as I could.
